ID Detection Systems unveiled its latest advanced Raman detection instrument at the 35th Annual International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (IABTI) International In–Service Training Conference and Exhibition show in Phoenix, Arizona this month.

The new R-5000 is the only Raman detector in the world specifically designed and engineered for use with military and police robot systems. IDDS developed the R-5000 in response to requests from police and military for standoff capabilities while examining suspicious bottles, containers and other unknown liquids and powders.

IDDS is very excited about teaming with Remotec, a Division of Northrop Grumman, in marrying two advanced technologies - Robotics and Raman detection. The photos show IDDS's new R-5000 operating with Remotec's Wolverine robot.
